            Job Description: This position performs a variety of functions in accordance with departmental procedures and guidelines.
            Performs single point of contact duties to the customer (end user). Evaluate, categorize, prioritize and attend to help desk tickets/calls. Extend IT knowledge database with solutions to incidents and problems. Mainly perform 1st and some 2nd level IT help- desk support activities. Primary responsibilities include:

            Central point of and primary contact for troubleshooting PC and server hardware and software problems, as well as separation of incidents, problems, standard services and new requirements.
            Assists with the maintenance for microcomputers and related hardware including the physical network.
            Provides computer instruction to users to improve their skills and efficiency, including users at Riverport, Mississippi, Texas, and Brazil.
            Assists with the inventory of all microcomputer hardware and software and ensures hardware is properly identified with organization''s asset tags.
            Confers with users in identifying problems and determining solutions
            Keeps abreast of technological changes and innovations in the microcomputer industry.
            Continuously seeks ways to improve performance of our facility''s operation and ensures that customers'' (both internal and external) needs are met. Adhere to the quality system.
            Manages and maintains the Organizations backups and backup systems, including the servers and storage and location of drives and images for Bells Lane, Riverport, Texas, and Mississippi. Also responsible for installing upgrades and patches for the backup clients for desktop/laptop backups.
            Manages and maintains the secure VPN access. Identifies new and improved ways to enhance security and manageability of client VPN access.

            Physical Demands
            While performing the duties of this class, employees are regularly required to sit; talk or hear, in person and by multi-media; use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; and reach with hands and arms. Employees are frequently required to walk, stand and move about to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. Must have ability to ascend and descend stairs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

            Mental Demands
            While performing the duties of this class, employees are regularly required to effectively use written and oral communication skills; read and interpret data, information and documents; analyze and solve problems; use math and mathematical reasoning; learn and apply new skills and information; perform highly detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks; and interact with Pomeroy employees, Clients and Vendors. Specific incumbent must maintain composure in a fast paced, high quality environment where personal and team accountabilities are the defining factors.

            General office environment
            Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
            Requirements: Education Requirements
