Description: Provides hiring, promotion and disciplinary action recommendations, as well as performance evaluation and feedback for direct reports. Support the company's overall financial and operating objectives, by providing strategic leadership for the Supply Chain Logistics organization. Sets and manages the vision, strategy, operations & objectives, of a large or complex distribution center (greater than 325,000 sq ft ) in supporting multiple divisions, customers, and business units with multiple operating systems. Acts as a strategic business partner through support of and alignment with other internal and external customers throughout the organization. Typically, responsible for a large manufacturing/modification operation and typically reports to the Logistics Director. Ensure communication channels are effective with multiple business leaders and functional leadership (e.g. Human Resources, Quality, Supply Chain, Transportation, Manufacturing, and Sales). Ensure strong relationship between Supply Chain and its customers to drive total cost productivity through operational excellence, standardization and consolidation. Ensure strategic alignment with business partners. Supports all DCs in the network with Technical Resources that drives continuous improvements in the overall operating platform(s), inventory management, warehouse management systems (WMS), safety and sustainability, WMS implementations/rollouts, DC Metrics, and analytical support for operational improvements. Sets and monitors the performance of the distribution center to ensure the efficient and economical utilization of facilities for storing and distributing raw material and finished goods inventories. Ensure products and services are delivered to the quality, cost and delivery performance levels required. Focuses on continuous improvement of products and processes while monitoring speed, cost, quality and safety metrics. Optimizes the talent within the organizational structure and fosters an environment to promote individual and team growth. Develops team succession plans with a goal to promote team members outside of current operations/location. Establishes operating budgets; monitors the cost and effectiveness of distribution activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and achieve volume, quality, and warehousing standards. Provides supervision and guidance to distribution and/or Modification Management. Implements policies and procedures to ensure safety, quality, delivery and cost reduction goals are achieved. Leads and or sponsors projects to support continuous improvement in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, and cost reduction. Responsible for work order releases. Compiles progress reports on work, cost inventory levels and production problems.Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience. 10 years. (5 years in Leadership role). Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma required Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma preferred.
