Applicants and employees in positions which perform job duties that may require contact with offenders in the custody or supervision of the Department of Corrections or with youth in the care, custody, or supervision of the Department of Juvenile Justice must meet qualifications pursuant to the federal Prison Rape Elimination Act, 28 C.F.R.115.17 and 115.317.Description of Job Duties:This is a federally funded time-limited (FFTL) position. This means it is a position that is paid entirely as the result of a federal grant. The duration of employment shall not exceed the life of the federal grant that funds the position. An employee appointed to an FFTL position is required to meet the minimum requirements for the classification. Further, an employee appointed to an FFTL position is designated as an unclassified (non-merit) employee. An FFTL employee is eligible to receive benefits at the same level as a classified (merit) employee in a permanent position.
Administers and implements financial agreements for the provision of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)/Medicaid grants. Monitors compliance with the SNAP/Medicaid grant agreement guidelines; and performs other duties as assigned.
Oversees SNAP/Medicaid grant applications and federal contracts for management to ensure compliance with agency policies, state and federal laws an regulations. Creates and monitors grant budget tables, verifies expenditures are in compliance with the approved indirect cost allocation plan and ensures that contracts associated with grant funding are in accordance with federal requirements.
Monitors expenditures and compare to federal grant budgets and federal indirect cost agreements to verify expenditures and contractual agreements are in accordance with grant application/award. Creates eMARS documents to make corrections as needed.
Establishes grant titles within accounting system to accurately report and set up budget controls.
Prepares monthly budget and grant reports for management and federal reporting as required.
Monitors allotments and cash balance for all SNAP/Medicaid funds.
Assists with fiscal year end duties by monitoring agency accounts and allotments for adequate balances. Answers audit inquiries.
