Applicants and employees in positions which perform job duties that may require contact with offenders in the custody or supervision of the Department of Corrections or with youth in the care, custody, or supervision of the Department of Juvenile Justice must meet qualifications pursuant to the federal Prison Rape Elimination Act, 28 C.F.R.115.17 and 115.317.Description of Job Duties:Conducts studies of operational policies and procedures primarily across agency organizational unit lines for the purpose of defining agency program effectiveness and projecting agency budgetary needs and requests; and performs other duties as required. Reviews/Interprets Federal & State Financial regulations to ensure regulations are being followed & make recommendations to Executive Director & management team concerning spending within budget/grant administered by the Office of Marketing and Product Promotion Defines program objectives and identifies Federal and State funding to ensure every dollar spent within office meets regulations.
Reviews bills/charges to ensure they match amounts requested during approval process, check availability of funds, recommends approval of payments, make electronic draws. Coordinate/perform draws of Federal and State Funds for programs administered by the Office of Marketing and Product Promotion. Maintain accounts daily and reconcile monthly through management reporting data base and access files. Assist staff in payment of expenditures through federal and state database. Design projection reports to perform ongoing analysis of receipt and expenditures to ensure balance compliance with budgetary/grant guidelines and stipulations. Participate in development of Department budget requests through preparation and submission of report programs administered by the Office of Marketing and Product Promotion. Provides financial reports as requested. Prepares/submits reports to Federal Government on use of grant funds. Reconciles quarterly and close out accounts annually. Ensure special project expenditures are followed. Reviews accounts to determine any carryover funds and ensure Federal and State laws, rules, regulations and guidelines are met in expenditure of funds.
