Kforce has a client in search of a Python Developer in Louisville, Kentucky (KY). Who and what we are:Our client is designed to help close the digital communications divide between older adults who reside in senior living facilities (Resident Users), their family members and senior living facility staff members. Our primary service enables resident users to stay in touch with family and facility staff via their own television and a custom-designed remote control. Our technology operates on a set top box that connects the users? TV to our servers and to a television signal. Using the custom remote control, Resident users can toggle between television programming and the application which allows the Resident users to interact with family members and with the facility staff. Our application was designed through extensive focus and pilot group testing to provide the best user experience possible. We are a customer-driven organization whose mission is to adapt the technology to the users, not the other way around.What we are looking for:Our Application is currently performing pilot testing in several senior living facilities and we expect to add dozens more facilities over the next several months. We need to add competent, experienced and dependable development resources to work with our team and help us add feature and functionality.How we work:

  • We believe in a collaborative and iterative approach work to design the best possible solutions and refine with customer and data-driven decisions about what works most effectively

  • We use test-driven deployment practices with a focus on automation, dashboards, and continues integration

  • We deploy to production continuously; When the code is ready and tested, we deploy it to production

  • We support and maintain our code in production

  • 4-6 years development experience; 2-3 years Python experience minimum

  • Experience with Python and Django

  • Experience with object-oriented design

  • Experience with SQL and relational databases on AWS a plus

  • Experience with multiple languages/different types of languages a plus

  • Familiarity with the Agile process is a plus

  • Ability to collaborate closely with other developers, product owners, and other non-technical people like the founders

  • The willingness to debate with peers and ability to accept differing approaches and opinions

  • A demonstrated passion for improving one's own skills, collaboration and learning from others

  • A quality mindset, and a test-driven development habit
