Under direct supervision, provides family/community based services including child protection, adoption services, or residential treatment for emotionally disturbed/behavior disordered children. Investigates complaints of abuse/neglect of children, spouses and/or adults. Makes home visits, assesses the need for services and provides ongoing family based services. Develops service objectives and services plans, makes appropriate private referrals, provides and coordinates needed services, and works as a member of a team to ensure unified service provision. Interviews clients and explains or interprets agency services. Prepares court reports, testifies at court hearings and/or monitors conditions set by the court. Enters data into the computer system and maintains records.
